The phoenix eggs were a lot bigger than I thought they would be. They're like hot cinnamon candy. The way they're made is strange: There is a fairly thick shell, and it's the inside of this shell that's hot; then there's a gooey, chewy, sticky centre which isn't at all hot (phoenix guts, nom, nom, nom).

Back in the beginning, when I was just an ickle firstie, and Ginny was still sticking her elbow in butter, I felt I related to her and fashioned myself the nickname Ginny. Unfortunately, when I got to high school, there was already a Ginny (Virginia, which she hates), and she got all whiny saying she was oh-so confused and she was there first and she's older, &c. So, they started calling me Ed from Cowboy Bebop. -- At the time I backed down, but now I think I should get everyone to call me Ginny again, and we can call her Death Eater Ginny. Bwahahahaha! -- Maybe?
Well, where is this going? This is where it's going: The wand I got is Ginny's! Mine! Bwahahahaha! (Don't you know when you and your friends pick characters you 'are'? What? Yes, I do have friends!) Ahem, regardless of what I call myself and of whom I may or may not relate to, I like Ginny's wand. I also quite like Hermione's and Sirius's, and I was tempted by Lily's, which is also nice. The only thing I was hesitant about was that it's 15 inches. A bit long!
Interestingly, Ginny's wand may be made of Hazel, which is the wand I got on Pottermore (almost got Aspen, which would have been cool too). The Harry Potter Wiki says,
As J.K. Rowling based Harry's, Ron's, and Hermione's wands off of the wand woods correlating to their date of birth and the Celtic tree calendar, it is possible that Ginny Weasley's wand could be crafted from Hazel . Ginny was born August 11, and the period of birth marking Hazel on the Celtic tree calendar is August 5 to September 1.
